The tweet was made by Feral Interactive, a video game developer that goes by the slogan, “bringing great games to macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch!”. The company works closely with top-rated developers such as Square Enix, TT Games, Codemasters, Avalanche, Relic Studios, Eidos Montréal, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
Grid Autosport offers a great racing experience for car enthusiasts and gives your inner NASCAR champion a chance to be let loose with fun modes, and realistic driving. The game crowns itself as the first full-fledged racing simulator for the Nintendo Switch.
The game features five versatile racing categories, ranging from touring and endurance, to tuner, street, and open-wheel. GRID Autosport was first rolled out to PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 back in 2014. As it received waves of high critical appraise, the devs decided to launch the game as a result of a partnership with Feral Interactive on iOS as well in 2017, with a later release on Android in 2019. Here’s what TouchArcade had to say about the iOS version of the game at that time:
“if you want the best racing game on mobile by far and one of the prettiest game ever to grace the platform, stop reading and go buy this game [GRID Autosport iOS] right now.”
Now that a brand-new multiplayer player is going to be added to the Nintendo Switch variant of GRID Autosport, fans are really excited to see how this plays out.
The tweet further affirms that the update is going to bring along the ability to play with others, is also going to host compatibility for Nintendo Labo, a lineup of DIY kits made to work with the Nintendo Switch. Also, the game will support the HORI Pro Deluxe Wheel and the HORI Pro Mini Wheel- both being racing wheels designed for the optimum car driving gameplay.
In other news, however, a fan asked if there’s any prospect of a physical edition of the game. To this, Feral Interactive replied that there are currently no plans for a physical version. It seems that we’ll have to work with the digital edition of the game for now.
Offering real value to its customers, the game company tried their best in replying to every curious fan bubbling with questions. In doing so, Feral Interactive has confirmed that the update is bound to add fresh new ways where you can fine-tune the controls and optimize the sensitivity of the steering wheel too.
