Spotify now lets you play music with your friends

2.3K Spotify is a digital music streaming service that provides you with a countless number of songs. It’s widely known as one of the best and most common music players, mainly because of its convenience and excellent interface. It had increasingly evolved ever since its release back in 2008. Having multiple changes to the design layout and the overall experience in general, the app has renovated modern music listening.

Just a few months back, Spotify released the Beta version of a new soon-to-be-added feature called Group Session. This lets the subscribers of the premium membership of the same area to pause, play, and choose their favorite songs when streaming music together.

Today, Spotify declared by releasing an update that you can now listen to songs and podcasts with anyone, anywhere across the globe. At a time, up to four participants can join a listening session if you invite them. This is done by hovering over to the Connect tab, followed by creating a joinable link that is sent over to friends and acquaintances over messages.

This provides each participant of the session full control in playing, pausing, adding their picks to the queue, and skipping songs. Also, they can select new songs.

Early in 2020, Spotify removed the limit barrier of a 10,000-song library that has been around for quite a while now. This resulted in users saving as many songs as they like.

On the other hand, in the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus, the streaming platform has launched an initiative called the Spotify COVID-19 Music Relief project.
